Comfort food... ahhhh.. yes... don't we all love comfort food especially in the cooler weather.... Ok.. This post is dedicated to my amazing Daughter in Law.. Brooke Lemaitre.. She is beautiful and sweet and kind and LOVES my Shepherd's Pie... So this is for you girlie..
Saute:
1lb. of ground beef
1 medium onion chopped
3 cloves of fresh garlic
Boil chopped pealed potatoes in water with a dash of salt. When the potatoes are tender, drain them and mash them.. add 1/2 stick butter, or you can use the olive oil that tastes like butter.. 1/2 cup. of low fat sour cream, salt and pepper to taste and a splash of milk...
once the burger is nice and brown place it in a casserole dish and top with the mashed potatoes.. sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake on 350 for 10 minutes...
Hint: if you are doing the low carb thing, you can always use mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes.
It's really good and it warms you up inside.. I like to serve this with a nice garden salad
