French King Cake.. I promise.. it is easier than it looks!!!



As Promised... French King Cake 

     

Cream 1 stick of butter with 1 Cup of confectioners sugar.  Add 1 Cup of almond meal, 3 eggs, 1 Teaspoon of Rum extract and 1 teaspoon of almond extract and beat till smooth... Line a round baking pan with parchment paper, and put puff pastry dough on the bottom and sides of the pan.  Pour the almond mixture in the dough and cover with another sheet of puff pastry.  Seal the sides and cut slits on top.  Brush with egg wash and put into a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top and the inside is completely baked. I guarantee your home will smell like a French bakery.
